ICSParser support

Help with files, calendar access and purchases.

Open a calendar file

Open or share an .ics file with ICSParser from Files, Mail or another app. Review the events, select a destination calendar and confirm the import. Files with .ical or .icalendar extensions can also be opened when they contain calendar events.

Allow calendar access

In system Settings, give ICSParser Full Access to Calendars so it can read existing events and save changes. Select a calendar that allows editing; a read-only or subscribed calendar cannot receive imports. If needed, reopen the file after changing permissions.

Duplicates and suspicious events

Pro includes checks for duplicates and suspicious events. Review the findings and choose which events to import or update. These checks do not guarantee that every duplicate or unwanted event will be found.

If a file will not import

Check that the file contains calendar events and is complete. Download it again or ask the sender for a new export. Some calendar components and recurrence rules are unsupported. A file containing only tasks or free/busy information may have no events to import.

Undo or update an import

Open a history entry to see its results and available actions. Undo applies to changes the app can still safely match; events edited elsewhere may be left unchanged. Updating a schedule requires Pro. Deleting history keeps calendar events, but removes information needed to undo or update those imports.

Purchases and subscriptions

Use Restore Purchases in the app Settings with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Apple manages billing and subscription cancellation. A lifetime Pro purchase is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
