Equity Lab
Privacy Policy
How Equity Lab, this website and support handle information.
Scope and provider
This policy covers Equity Lab for iPhone, iPad and Mac, this website and support correspondence. The provider is Anton Belousov, support@belant.ink. Apple and other external services have their own policies.
1. Local app data
No Equity Lab account is required. Cards, ranges, weights, calculations, saved ranges, history, favorites and preferences are processed on your device. The App does not upload these items to the developer. Settings and saved items are kept locally to provide the App's features.
Device or computer backups may contain local app data, depending on your Apple settings or backup tools. Those backups are controlled by you and their providers; they are not an Equity Lab cloud-sync service.
2. Purchases and Premium access
Apple processes purchases, renewals and restores through the App Store and StoreKit. The App uses Apple-signed purchase records to verify access, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase dates, expiry or revocation status, and original app acquisition information where needed to recognize eligible previous paid downloads.
These checks do not send your poker data to the developer. We do not receive your card number or full payment details. Apple retains account and transaction information under its own policies. Deleting local app data does not delete Apple's purchase records or cancel a subscription.
3. Analytics and diagnostics
Equity Lab uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and improve the App. Events describe screens, calculations, feature use and purchase or restore outcomes, with technical app, device and session identifiers. Event payloads exclude full hand histories and payment-card details.
On iPhone and iPad, only after you allow tracking in the iOS permission dialog, the App uses the Meta SDK to measure and improve its advertising. Meta receives app activation events, the device advertising identifier and technical device/network information. This integration does not send your card inputs, saved ranges, purchase events or subscription details. Automatic screen metadata and product-improvement collection are disabled. The native Mac app does not use the Meta SDK.
Refusing tracking permission does not restrict app features. You can change permission in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security, Tracking. Withdrawal stops new manual Meta activation events; it does not automatically erase information already received by Meta. You can contact us about privacy requests. Google's and Meta's privacy policies also apply to their processing.
Apple may separately process App Store and diagnostic information according to your platform settings and its policies, and provide aggregate statistics or shared diagnostic reports to developers.
4. Support correspondence
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, resolve the issue and retain records when legally necessary. Do not send payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Your email provider and our email provider process the correspondence under their own policies. Support is optional; you can use the App without sending a message.
5. Use, sharing and legal bases
Local processing provides the features you request; purchase checks enable or restore Premium access. Support messages are not used for advertising. The consent-gated Meta measurement is described above.
Support correspondence is processed to respond to your request and provide support, relying on contract performance or legitimate interests where applicable. Legally required records are processed to meet legal obligations. Consent is used where the applicable law requires it. We may disclose information if legally required or necessary to protect rights, property or safety, subject to applicable law.
6. Retention and deletion
Local saved data remains until you delete it or remove the corresponding local storage. Use the available saved-range and history controls to delete items. On iPhone and iPad, deleting the app normally removes its local app container; offloading is different. On Mac, deleting the app may leave preferences or support files. Backups may retain copies independently.
The App checks purchase entitlements as needed for access; Apple's transaction records follow Apple's retention rules. Support correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle the request and comply with applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us to request deletion of correspondence; we may retain information the law requires us to keep.
7. External services and transfers
This website is hosted by DigitalOcean. Requests expose technical information such as IP address and browser details to the hosting infrastructure. Routine HTTP access logs are disabled. Caddy runtime errors may enter the server’s shared journal or system logs under existing rotation; we do not promise a fixed deletion period.
The site uses localStorage only to remember your manually selected website language. It has no advertising cookies or website analytics. Blocking storage does not prevent reading the pages. Support email is handled through iCloud Mail; correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet legal obligations, not automatically purged on a fixed schedule.
Apple, Google, Meta, hosting and email providers may process information outside your country under their policies and applicable safeguards. Equity Lab has no developer-operated cloud synchronization of your hands, ranges or history.
8. Your choices and rights
You control local data and your device's backup and diagnostic-sharing settings. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a competent data-protection authority. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before it.
Contact support@belant.ink for requests involving information we hold, such as support messages. We may request proportionate information to verify the request. We cannot access or delete data held only on your device, in your backups or in Apple's account systems; use the relevant local controls or provider's request process.
9. Children
The App is intended for adults studying poker and is not directed to children below the age at which they can independently give valid consent under local law. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. If a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it and delete it where required.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and its “Last updated” date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required by law. Questions or privacy requests: Anton Belousov, support@belant.ink.
11. Remote configuration
Firebase Remote Config delivers app settings and may assign a paywall variant for product evaluation. Firebase processes an installation identifier and technical app information. Analytics can connect a paywall exposure and purchase outcome using pseudonymous experiment, exposure and transaction identifiers; test purchases are identified separately. This does not upload your hand inputs, saved ranges or card details. Experiment capability does not mean that an experiment is always running.
